How Privacy Works
Introduction
Section titled “Introduction”Privacy Pump is designed to reduce the amount of information publicly exposed during treasury management and fund movement.
Instead of relying on a single privacy feature, the platform combines multiple systems that work together behind the scenes.
Users interact with vaults, deposits, withdrawals, and proposals.
The Privacy Layer handles the privacy infrastructure.
The Basic Flow
Section titled “The Basic Flow”At a high level, Privacy Pump works through four layers:
- Vault Layer
- Governance Layer
- Privacy Layer
- Blockchain Layer
Each layer has a different responsibility.
Step 1 — Users Interact With Vaults
Section titled “Step 1 — Users Interact With Vaults”Every action begins inside a vault.
Depending on the vault type, users may:
- Create proposals
- Approve actions
- Deposit funds
- Withdraw funds
- Manage treasury assets
- Coordinate with members
The vault serves as the primary interface for treasury management.
Users do not interact directly with privacy infrastructure.
Step 2 — Governance Validates Actions
Section titled “Step 2 — Governance Validates Actions”For Private Multisigs, important actions require approval.
Examples include:
- Treasury withdrawals
- Membership changes
- Threshold updates
- Configuration changes
The vault verifies that the required number of approvals has been reached before an action can proceed.
This ensures treasury activity remains controlled and accountable.
Step 3 — The Privacy Layer Processes Activity
Section titled “Step 3 — The Privacy Layer Processes Activity”Once an action is authorized, Privacy Pump’s Privacy Layer becomes responsible for handling privacy-sensitive operations.
Depending on the action, the Privacy Layer may:
- Process protected treasury operations
- Route deposits through privacy infrastructure
- Route withdrawals through privacy infrastructure
- Protect membership information
- Support secure communication systems
The goal is to reduce unnecessary public exposure while preserving usability.
Step 4 — The Blockchain Records The Result
Section titled “Step 4 — The Blockchain Records The Result”Privacy Pump ultimately operates on Solana.
Transactions are finalized on-chain.
However, the Privacy Layer is designed to reduce the amount of information that is directly exposed during treasury activity.
Users continue benefiting from Solana’s security, speed, and settlement guarantees.
The Main Components
Section titled “The Main Components”Privacy Pump’s Privacy Layer is composed of several major systems.

- Routing infrastructure
- Advanced blockchain architecture
Users simply manage their vaults.
The platform handles the privacy workflow.
Putting It Together
Section titled “Putting It Together”When a user performs an action inside a vault:
