FAQ
What is Privacy Pump?
Privacy Pump is a privacy-first vault platform built on Solana that combines multisig security, private routing, private vault communication, and zero-knowledge privacy infrastructure.
Is Privacy Pump a mixer?
No. Privacy Pump is a vault and treasury platform. Private routing and privacy infrastructure are used to improve financial privacy, but the platform is designed around secure asset coordination and treasury management.
What is a Personal Vault?
A Personal Vault is a single-owner vault that provides access to Privacy Pump’s privacy infrastructure without requiring multiple signers.
What is a Private Multisig?
A Private Multisig requires multiple members to approve actions before assets can move. Approval thresholds can be customized depending on the security requirements of the group.
What assets can be stored in a Privacy Pump Vault?
Privacy Pump vaults can hold SOL, SPL tokens, and other supported assets within the Solana ecosystem. Support for additional asset types may be expanded in future releases.
What is the difference between a Personal Vault and a Private Multisig?
A Personal Vault is controlled by a single owner. A Private Multisig requires multiple members to approve actions according to a configured threshold.
Can I create multiple vaults?
Yes. A wallet can create and manage multiple vaults. Each vault maintains its own members, settings, treasury, communication channels, and privacy configuration.
Can vault members have nicknames?
Yes. Vault administrators can assign labels to member wallets to make vault management easier and more human-readable.
Can I change my vault image and description?
Yes. Vault profile information such as name, image, description, and member labels can be updated through vault settings.
How do proposal approvals work?
When a proposal is created, members can approve or reject it. Once the required approval threshold is reached, the proposal becomes executable.
What happens when a proposal is rejected?
A proposal is automatically rejected when enough rejections are recorded such that it can no longer mathematically reach the required approval threshold.
Can a rejected proposal be reopened?
No. Rejected proposals are final. A new proposal must be created if members wish to revisit the action.
What happens if members disagree?
The configured threshold determines the outcome. Privacy Pump does not allow a single member to override the approval rules established by the vault.
Does Privacy Pump custody my funds?
No. Assets remain controlled by on-chain vault programs. Privacy Pump does not take custody of user funds.
Are vault balances private?
Standard vault balances remain visible on-chain. Privacy features are provided through private routing, protected withdrawals, private vault communication, and privacy infrastructure layers.
What is a Protected Withdrawal?
A Protected Withdrawal uses Privacy Pump’s privacy infrastructure to separate vault activity from final asset delivery, improving financial privacy.
What is a Private Deposit?
A Private Deposit routes assets through Privacy Pump’s privacy infrastructure before crediting the destination vault.
What is the ZK Pool?
The ZK Pool is the privacy infrastructure responsible for supporting private deposits, protected withdrawals, privacy sets, and future zero-knowledge enhancements.
What is Arcium used for?
Arcium provides the privacy computation layer used by Privacy Pump for confidential workflows and future private coordination features.
How is vault chat access controlled?
Vault chat is available only after the wallet-scoped vault access gate passes. Never share signing secrets or recovery material in chat.
Can non-members read vault chat?
No. Only authorized vault members can access vault communication channels.
Does Privacy Pump work on mobile?
Yes. Privacy Pump is designed with mobile users in mind and works through supported mobile wallets and mobile browser environments.
Which wallets are supported?
Supported wallets are listed in the Supported Wallets section of this documentation and may expand over time.
Is Privacy Pump open source?
Core components, documentation, and selected protocol implementations may be published for public review and auditing.
