Vault Types
Vaults are the foundation of Privacy Pump.
Every action inside Privacy Pump happens through a vault.
Vaults allow users to store funds, manage treasury activity, create proposals, and use Privacy Pump’s privacy features.
Privacy Pump currently supports two vault types:
- Personal Vaults
- Private Multisigs
Both vault types use the same privacy infrastructure, but they are designed for different use cases.
Personal Vault
Section titled “Personal Vault”A Personal Vault is designed for a single user.
It provides a private space to organize funds and use Privacy Pump’s privacy features without involving other participants.
A Personal Vault is ideal for:
- Individual users
- Traders
- Long-term holders
- Developers
- Anyone who wants greater control over their financial privacy
With a Personal Vault, you remain the sole decision maker.
No approvals from other members are required.

This creates shared control over treasury funds and important vault actions.

Choose a Private Multisig if:
- Multiple people control the treasury
- You need approval workflows
- You are managing community or team funds
- You want shared governance
Same Privacy Infrastructure
Section titled “Same Privacy Infrastructure”Although Personal Vaults and Private Multisigs behave differently, both are built on the same privacy foundation.
Both vault types can use:
- Privacy Pump ZK Pool
- Private Deposits
- Protected Withdrawals
- Private Routing
- Private Communication
- Future privacy upgrades
The difference is not privacy.
The difference is governance.
