Creating a Vault

Creating a vault is the first step to using Privacy Pump.

A vault acts as the home for your treasury, members, proposals, and privacy features.

During vault creation, you define:

  • Vault identity
  • Vault members
  • Approval requirements
  • Treasury governance rules

Once created, the vault becomes the central workspace for managing shared funds.

Make sure you have:

  • A supported Solana wallet
  • Enough SOL for transaction fees
  • Wallet addresses for any members you want to add

You can also create a vault by yourself and add members later.

Open Privacy Pump and select:

Create Vault

The vault creation wizard will guide you through the setup process.

Choose the basic information for your vault:

  • Vault name
  • Description
  • Vault image

These details help identify the vault inside Privacy Pump.

You can update them later.

Add the wallet addresses that will participate in the vault.

Members can:

  • Approve proposals
  • Participate in treasury management
  • Access vault communication channels

Privacy Pump validates wallet addresses before continuing.

Step 4 — Configure The Approval Threshold

Section titled “Step 4 — Configure The Approval Threshold”

The threshold determines how many approvals are required before a proposal can be executed.

Examples:

  • 1 of 1 → One approval required
  • 2 of 3 → Two approvals required
  • 3 of 5 → Three approvals required

Higher thresholds generally provide stronger security for shared treasuries.

Before creating the vault, Privacy Pump shows a summary of:

  • Vault name
  • Members
  • Threshold
  • Configuration settings

Review everything carefully before continuing.

Confirm the transaction using your wallet.

Privacy Pump will:

  • Create the vault
  • Initialize treasury accounts
  • Configure membership rules
  • Store vault settings

Depending on network conditions, this process may take a few moments.

After creation, Privacy Pump automatically opens the vault.

You will now have access to:

  • Overview
  • Treasury
  • Proposals
  • Members
  • Settings
